I'm Here!

We'll I'm here. It's pretty nice! Everyone has been very welcoming to me. Some of the teachers came and picked me up at the airport and I'm having supper with one of them tonight. I mentioned that I had studied abroad before, but that this is my first time being abroad without my friends or family and the man I was talking to replied, "Well, now you have family here." So that was nice. Deffinatly. My apartment isn't finished yet, so I'm staying at the resort tonight-- For FREE! It's breathtaking here. Not as hot as I expected it to be, but I'm sure I'll be sticking my foot in my mouth for that comment in no time.

I wish you all could see what I'm seeing. It's so beautiful here.

Here are some pictures from my trip so far:

Hey Allison, glad to hear you made it safetly! I love the pictures. The place is soooo beautiful! Free night at the resort too-wow.
Can't wait to hear more adventures.
Things here are good. My mom and I just got back from South Dakota. It was a lot of fun but really windy!
Take care, Laura Bauer

Allison,
Your Mom gave me your blog site and helped me open up the pictures. You are now on my favorites.

Sounds like you are doing just fine.

Hey Allison!

Love that you're posting on a blog. This will be such a great way to keep in touch with everyone...but you won't have to email 40 times every day! :) Looking forward to seeing how things are going for you in DP. I'm sure you're going to be GREAT! Take good care, have fun, and enjoy this time! It'll be some of the best time of your life, for sure.

Love ya! Angie, Brian and Jack

Hi Allison,
We enjoyed seeing your photos and hearing about your first days there. It has been a sweltering 80 degrees here in Green Bay this week but, of course, we don't have the nice palm trees & ocean to look at -- just brown grass! We're looking forwarding to seeing pictures of your apartment (p.s. make sure the bed is ALWAYS made...) Later!
